Monkey Love Records
Independant UK Record Label
Born from the love of music and working with friends, Monkey Love Records is an independent net label collective started in 2006 working with talented artists from all aspects of creative media.
Working closely with MLR we have build a site with a custom CMS, so they are swinging from the very top. We also created a bespoke flash based music player which streamed MLR artists tracks and enabled them to promote the label through websites such as MySpace, as fans of the label were able to embed the player into their profiles.
With a very rough brief, and some even rougher design ideas sent from the other side of the world, we took on the core ideals and expanded them to
help give this net-label a strong identity to help them compete in an already saturated industry.
We've designed and produced numerous items for MLR included postcards, stickers, calendars, posters, t-shirts & pin badges to name but a few.
He wanted monkeys, we gave him monkeys! …and bananas, …and robots, …and even a geisha!
We continue to work with MLR to date, making adjustments and adding functions as their audience grows and their needs change. Plus, we love what they do so it's great to be a part of it's evolution.
MLR top chimp Sam Holman says "I don't mean to gush but I owe it all to Anti-Threate, they are amazing designers! They are accommodating to our initial ideas and then advise us of changes we would need to make to those ideas, to not only make them a reality, but also to ensure they compliment the site in a positive way."
